ILDS has been a traditional venue of the cutting edge technologies and discussions on the interlending and document supply front for ten years and in this year's conference, quite a number of IT experts and librarians from all over the world attended.
The conference witnessed global interest in copyright protection and digital rights management: DRM were being raised prominently in the Keynote speeches for the first two days; in a series of speech, discussions were varied in topics, but commonly focusing on copyright protection and dealing with DRM as a tool to address the pending copyright issues.
Fasoo, the only exhibitor that made a product showcase, retrieved a successful feedback after the XDRM demonstration, as a number of people visited the booth repeatedly for further discussion and expressed a great deal of interest. Most of the visitors were from libraries - as a side note, libraries over the world are now seeking a solution that fulfills the requirements raised by challenges of the copyright protection from publishers and content owners.
XDRM is an advanced DRM appliance protecting Web pages and contents by simple installation and manipulation. Using XDRM, enterprises can persistently protect their Web application and safeguard their intellectual properties on the Web.
